Tyra was born Tyra Lynne Banks in December 1973. She was born in Inglewood, California to Carolyn London a medical photographer (didn’t know this such occupation exist before now) and a computer consultant named Donald Banks. Tyra is the second of a family of two kids. When she was aged six, her parents divorced.
Growing up, Tyra Banks was rather fat and she mentioned that her peers teased her and called her “ugly duckling” then at the age of eleven she took the matter on its horn and lost 30 pounds or 13.6 kg and grew three inches or 7.6 cm in just three months.
