Missy Peregrym was born Melissa Peregrym on June 16, 1982. She was born to a minister-father called  Rev. Darrell Peregrym in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and was raised by her parents (her mother is referred to as Venessa Peregrym) alongside her two sisters in Surry, British Columbia, Canada. 

Peregrym grew up as a tomboy and played energic games such as soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey while in high school at Fleetwood Park Secondary School in British Columbia. She would later coach the high school basketball team. After this, she attended the Aurora College where she graduated in 2004.

Missy Peregrym began her career working for a certain Lizbel Modeling Agency. Some executive might have seen that the beautiful blonde girl is better fitted in the commercial section and they encouraged her to move there. She did and a career was born. Missy Peregrym went on to become a model and has a handful of companies she modeled for, including big names such as Mercedes-Benz, Sprint Canada, plus the Olympic Games.

In 2000, Missy moved to the big screen, she made her acting debut in the Canadian serial drama “Dark Angel”. For the next few years, she made a handful of guest appearances in TV dramas plus that TV film “Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss” on USA Network. Her first main role was as a member of the cast of “Black Sash” on the WB. But the action and adventure drama wasn’t a popular one. In all, Peregrym was part of the eight episodes that was the singular season, although only six of them were aired.

In 2006, Missy’s finest period on the screen began. She played the role of Candice Wilmer in NBC’s “Heroes”. In the following year, she became a part of the series “Reapers” produced by ABC Studio and Disney for The CW about a man who works for the Devil, roaming the earth and retrieving souls that escaped from hell. Missy played the role of Andi Prendergast, the girlfriend of Sam the reaper who didn’t know initially that he was a reaper and who had to endure his canceling or abandoning dates to carry out reaper duties.

In 2010, Missy Peregrym returned home to Canada to become a part of the main cast of “Rookie Blues” a police drama that aired on Global in Canada and on ABC in the United States. The 74 episodes she featured in here remain the highest number in her career.

From 2018, Peregrym became a part of the show “FBI” on CBS.

Husband

This section might as well be called husbands as Missy Peregrym has been married more than once. The first time was in June 2014 to Zachary Levi and the marriage didn’t see the new year. Well, it did see the new year but the couple was already separated and working towards divorce which was finalized in April 2015.

You should know Zachary Levi. He is Chuck Bartowski in the spy NBC drama “Chuck” for which he got named as one of the best nerds on TV. Zachary is a game, cars, and motorcycle enthusiast.

After Levi, Missy remarried. This time around it was to Tom Oakley in December 2018. Oakley is an actor and producer known for his roles in the dramas “Out of Blue” and “All Saints”. In October 2018, Peregrym announced on Instagram that she is expecting the couple’s first child.

Before Levi and Oakley, there was Ben Roethlisberger the American football quarterback for Pittsburgh Steelers known as Big Ben and who so far has two championship medals. The two dated between 2009 and 2012.

Missy Peregrym has over thirty credits to her name. She has many big roles to her name. On being and working in Los Angeles, she said, “To tell you the truth, I hope I don’t have to be here forever.
