Margarita was born Margarita Vladimirovna Levieva in Leningrad (modern-day Saint Petersburg). She was born on February 1980. She didn’t come to the world alone as she has a twin brother with whom she and her mother came to the United States in 1991. Her family came into the States as undocumented immigrants. She lived in New York and had her high school education in New Jersey and higher education at New York University.

Margarita Levieva started training to be a gymnast at the age of three in her native country. By the time she made the trans-Atlantic cross into the United States, she was somewhat of a rhythmic gymnastics expert. And she continued to practice in her new home. She went to play in regional competitions which she more or less dominated.
Ms. Levieva was good enough to become a full-time professional but perhaps, she felt she was built more for a career in Hollywood. In 2005, she featured in the New York Magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful Girls in New York, she might have felt this was the crown on the road to Hollywood.
Career – she started her at 14
Margarita Levieva made her acting debut in 2004 in some obscure short movie called “Billy’s Choice”. She made her first TV appearances in the next year, one of them being as a guest act in “Law & Order: Trial by Jury”. In 2010, she joined the cast of “How to Make It in America”, the comic drama on HBO as part of the recurring cast. In the following year, she featured in “Revenge” on ABC.
She is more of a TV actor as it is on TV she is most known even though she has had more film credits (we have established here that it is quality and not quantity that counts). She has had film appearances of note. She was in the comedy movie “The Diary of a Teenage Girl” in 2015. The same year, she was in “The People I Sleep With” and “Boys I Babysit.” In 2017, she was part of the comedy “It Happened in LA.”
The star was also on NBC’s “Allegiance”, the American remaking of the Israeli spy series “The Gordin Cell”. She played the role of Natalie O’Connor, a Soviet spy in a family of Soviet spies.

Margarita Levieva is not the only person on a blacklist. People get blacklisted for things as flimsy as wearing the wrong size of socks. And we are not even talking about that kind of blacklist. Margarita was in “The Blacklist” on NBC. It is the crime/mystery/thriller revolving around James Spader’s character of Raymond Reddington, a former US Naval officer turned criminal who somehow turned a new leaf and decided to help the FBI track the criminals whom he profiled in a blacklist.

Margarita played the role of Gina Zanetakos, one of the names on Reddington’s blacklist. She is a corporate terrorist whose art of terrorism are carried out on corporations so that her paying corporation would get an undue advantage.
