Rita Dominic: Age and early life
Rita Dominic was born in Mbaise, Imo State, in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria on July 12, 1975. She hails from the Royal Nwaturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise local government area. Her father worked as a medical doctor while her mother worked as a nursing officer. Rita is the last child in a family of four.
She had her secondary education at the Federal Government College Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, before proceeding to the University of Port Harcourt where she obtained a BA Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999.

Rita’s first movie was in 1998 when she starred in the film “Time to Kill”. Before then, the only acting experience on her CV was the drama appearances in her local church in Mbaise. Rita appeared in another movie titled “Children of Terror” in the same year and quickly settled for the screen job full time.
In 1999, she was already a force as she appeared alongside Stella Damascus-Aboderin in the film “Face of a Liar”. She also played a role in the film “Aba Riot” alongside Segun Arinze and veteran actor Olu Jacobs.

The fine boys of the 2000s appeared and Rita started playing the role of a powerful love interest. One could easily count how many times she dated and married stars like Ramsey Nouah, Emeka Ike, Jim Iyke in films. She also teamed up beautifully well with her female colleagues.
During the rebirth of Nollywood that ushered in the new phase of box office films, Rita’s true talent was unlocked. With her over a decade of experience as an actress, she became a producer, writer, director; Rita came with so much energy and content.
