His father abandoned the boy and his mother and the woman struggled to raise him alone. Because his father identified as a writer, Nick hated writing despite his talents and spent a long time as an electrician just so as to escape the “stigma” of writing. When he was 22, his mother and only known family member committed suicide.
Today, Nick Flynn is most known for the memoir “Another Bullshit Night in Suck City” in which he described the reunion with his estranged father.
Lili and Nick have been dating for long before she gave birth to their daughter in 2008. The couple made things official and tied the knot in 2009. The actor and performer Jonah Triebwasser officiated the wedding. The name of their only child is Maeve Taylor-Flynn.
