Who is Gary Cole?
Gary Cole is the son of a school administrative assistant Robert Cole while her mother Lois Cole worked as director of finance. Gary was born in Park Ridge, Illinois but was raised in Rolling Meadows with her elder sister Nancy.
Gary attended Rolling Meadows High School, where he discovered his acting talent and was selected to play the character of Snoopy in the high school production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”. His acting brilliance made it easier for him to appear in other plays in school.
After his high school graduation, proceeded to John Malkovich College. The decision to pursue acting professionally came while at Malkovich College and he moved to Illinois State University where he bagged a B.A degree in Theater.
Shortly after his graduation, Gary Cole relocated to Chicago where he kick-started his career as a stage actor in 1983. He became a member of the ensemble of the Steppenwolf Theatre in 1985. In Chicago, he also co-founded The Remains Theatre Ensemble.

From 1988-1991, Gary appeared as Jack “Nighthawk” Killian on NBC television series “Midnight Caller”. Gary rounded off the early ‘90s with some films like “A Simple Plan”, “Office Space”, “Kiss the Sky” and “I’ll be home for Christmas”.
Gary started the year 2000 by appearing in an episode of ABC sitcom “What About Joan” as Justin. He also appeared on CBS television drama “Family Law” as Alan in the same year. As a voice artist, Gary lent his voice in an animated adult sitcom “Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law”. He also voiced the character of Principal Shepherd on Fox animated sitcom “Family Guy”.
Gary appeared on 15 episodes of WB television comedy “Family Affair”. (Surely he likes film titles that have the family in it). He appeared in 21 episodes of NBC political drama series “The West Wing” as Bob Russell. He played a voice role in the animated mystery comedy series “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated”. Gary was also in the television drama “Suits” as Cameron Dennis. Gary has appeared in many TV series and even video games. He acts like someone who doesn’t want to fade away.
What happened to his wife?
Gary Cole was married to actress Teddi Siddall. Teddi appeared on many episodes in “Grey’s Anatomy”. They wedded on March 8, 1992. Together they welcomed a daughter named Marry who diagnosed with Autism when she was just two years of age. During the period while she was undergoing some medications, Gary became involved with Canine Companions for Independence, a nonprofit group that trains assistance dogs for individuals with disabilities.
Gary and his wife helped their daughter Mary to fight autism the best way they could. Currently, Mary is pursuing a career in Hollywood. Unfortunately, Gary lost his wife Teddi who passed away on February 4, 2018.
