Craig Sheffer

The son of a prison guard, Craig Sheffer has grown to become a screen delight to many of his fans. Since his debut in the industry four decades ago, the actor had devoted most of his life to the craft. His humble beginnings might have played a role or so it seems. Craig Sheffer: Age and early life

Craig Sheffer was born on April 23, 1960 to a prison guard in n York, Pennsylvania. He has a brother named Hogan, and together, they performed impromptu sketches for their family at a young age. He attended York Suburban High School York, Pennsylvania. He grew up so poor but not without talent as he played college football and nursed the dream of becoming a professional then a knee injury shattered that dream. At the age of 15, he started competing in regional and state high school drama competitions.

He picked up a job as a waiter, busboy, garbage man and sold newspapers to make a living. Craig later moved to New York City in 1980, where he was homeless for several weeks sleeping under the marble staircase in Grand Central Terminal while heavily relying on Unification Church spaghetti dinners to stay alive. Good fortunes soon favored him as he signed with an agent who helped him secure his first TV job in a commercial.

Craig Sheffer attended East Stroudsburg State College, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, United States but couldnt finish as he dropped out to pursue an acting career. He is 60 years old.

Craig Sheffer: Career

Craig made his debut in 1982 in ABC soap opera “One Live To Live” as Ian Hayden. A year later, he appeared in the prime time serial “The Hamptons” as Brian Chadway. In 1985, he played the best friend of troubled teenager Emilio Estevez in “That Was Then… This Is Now”. His hunger for more acting roles intensified and the universe rewarded him.

Craig voiced the character of Mick in the animated television series “Teen Wolf”.  He also portrayed the character of Constant Bradley, son of Gerald Bradley a patriarch of a large, wealthy, and politically well-connected Irish Catholic family who has links to organized crime in the 1996 miniseries “A Season in Purgatory”. The film was inspired by the 1975 murder of Martha Moxley, for which Ethel Skakel Kennedy’s nephew Michael Skakel was eventually convicted. He played the role of Keith Scott on the CW Network series “One Tree Hill.” He was a regular for three seasons; his character was killed halfway through season 3. He had several guest appearances in season 4. He has appeared in other television series like “Criminal Minds” and “The Mentalist”.

He owns a production company called Desert Winds Films together with partner Stephen J. Bratter.

Marriage

Craig Sheffer was married to Gabrielle Anwar, the union ended in the 1990s with a child named Willow. Gabrielle is an English-American actress known for her roles as Sam Black in the second series of Press Gang, Margaret Tudor on The Tudors, Fiona Glenanne on Burn Notice, Lady Tremaine in the seventh season of Once Upon a Time, and for dancing the tango with Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman.

Also, Craig is godfather to Gabrielle Anwar’s children, Hugo and Paisley, from her marriage to John Verea. Ever since his divorce, he has not remarried and there is information as regards to his present relationship status.

Craig was diagnosed with cancer shortly after filming “Nightbreed” in England. He then visited India, traveled around Europe and returned whole again. He is a lover of music and enjoys writing songs and playing the guitar. His hobbies include photography, writing and being outdoors. He is 6 feet 2 inches tall or 1.88 meters in height.
