Malese Jow – age and ethnicity
Malese Jow was born Elizabeth Melise Jow in Tulsa, Oklahoma in February 1991. She is half-Chinese, half-white as her father is Chinese and her mother has English, Scottish, and Cherokee Indian heritage. According to Malese, she is “ethnically ambiguous” as “When people first meet me, they’re always like, ‘What are you?'”
Malese Jow is from a family of four with two brothers named Jensen and Braden Jow and a sister named Makenna Jow. She was still a child when the family moved to California.
Career
Malese Jow’s career began when she was 6 years old in an episode of “Barnes and Friends” then in an episode of “Dellaventure”. She didn’t act afterward. And it seemed like she would never be on the screen again. Then her career resurrected in a spectacular manner. An advertising executive heard her singing and decided she would make a great act for their commercials which saw her do commercials for McDonald’s.
In 2004, she began playing Geena Fabiano in “Unfabulous” the teen drama on Nickelodeon. As Geena, she was the best fashion-freak best friend of the lead actress Emma Roberts who played Addie Singer the main songwriter. This was Ms. Jow’s most prominent role on TV and she was a part of every single episode of the 41 episodes of the three seasons that ended in 2007. For her performance here, she was twice nominated by the Young Artist Awards, one as part of the cast and the other as supporting young actress.
Malese Jow was also in “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW for 18 episodes as the vampire Annabelle “Anna” Zhu. In 2014, she was part of the main cast of “Star-crossed” the teen romantic science-fiction drama on The CW. The show was canceled after just one season. Other of her TV endeavors include “The Shannara Chronicles” and “The Time Rush”, and “Filthy Preppy Teen$”. Other many others.

Malese Jow has been in a few relationships. In 2006, she dated Carter Jerkins the actor who was born in September 1991, seven months after Jow. They met on the set of “Unfabulous” where Jerkins had a recurring role. But their dating date is put at 2009 which is two years after the end of the show they both appeared in. It happens. Malese is said to have also dated Kevin Jonas the pop-rock musician who is also an actor. This was ten years ago.
Today, we presume Jow Malese to be single. She was rumored to be in a relationship with Ian Somerhalder the actor and filmmaker who is known for his role in the series “Lost”. But it wasn’t to be and wasn’t as Ian confirmed this when he got married to Nikki Reed in 2015.

Malese Jow has done well for herself. She began acting in 1997. 22 years in the industry and nearly 40 credits under her belt, two million dollars would not look like a big deal. But if you consider she only has two or three of these as a part of the main cast and in no series did she play up to 50 episodes, you will begin to appreciate her earnings so far. Or you will not.
