Caitlin Stasey was born Caitlin Jean Stasey in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She was born in May 1999 to David and Sally Stasey. There were two of them, she and her younger sister named Victoria. Growing up, as early as six, she began taking interest in acting and performative arts. By ten, she was a member of the Australian Girls Choir and she traveled the world with them and lent her voice and skills to the commercial for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It began in 2003 when she was a part of the multi-collaborative series “The Sleepover Club” produced by Pacific Film and Television Commission for Netflix, ITV, Yey!, Nickelodeon and the Nine Network and aired for two seasons of 52 episodes. Stasey played the role of Francesca “Frankie” Thomas, the leader of the Sleepover Club for 27 episodes up till 2006.

In 2005, Caitlin Stasey joined the cast of “Neighbours” the Australian soap opera on Network Ten (and BBC One at some point). The series began airing in 1985 on Seven Network and originally made to focus on “realistic stories and portrayed adults and teenagers who talk openly and solve their problems together” and has now run for 8,210 episodes as of mid-October, 2019. Stasey played the role of Rachel Kinski in 275 episodes leaving the show in 2009 in order to complete her education. When she won the role of Rachel in the show, she left school and decided to study using a distance education program. Another added incentive was the fact that she wanted to feel like “a normal 18-year-old” something she didn’t experience while hopping from one set to another.

Between 2013 and 2016, she was part of the drama show “Please Like Me” on ABC2 (Australia) in which she played 21 episodes between seasons one and four. Then she made her Hollywood TV debut when she played Lady Kenna in “Reign” the American historical drama about the life and exploits of Mary, Queen of Scots for 44 episodes.

Caitlin is a TV woman all-round but she has a handful of feature films to her name. They include “I, Frankenstein” (2014) an Australian and American collaboration, “Fear, Inc” (2016) an American comedic horror, and “Tomorrow, When the War Began” an Australian adventure and war film from 2011.

Caitlin is married to Lucas Neff the American actor born in Chicago and known mostly for his role in Fox’s “Raising Hope”. There is no one outside of the couple’s immediate circle who could say for sure when the couple got married.
