In 2007, Jamie Beamish’s career came to a temporary stop. What appeared as a painless lump on his collarbone, something he thought was just an infection, turned out to be a classic Hodgkin lymphoma after a chest X-ray revealed a shadow on my chest.

At this time, Jamie Beamish had to stop the tour of “I, Keano”, and two other plays he had lined up. He also had a small part in the film ” Robin Hood”. Luckily for Jamie, the director, Ridley Scott, insisted on casting Jamie for the role despite being unavailable at the time of filming.
Jamie Beamish went through six rounds of ABVD chemotherapy over six months and a regular dosage of antiemetics. At the end of 2007, he went into remission.
In the summer of 2009, a CAT scan revealed the lump came back and his hematologist suggested an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) in curing the lymphoma. Jamie recovered a few weeks after the process.

Jamie has featured in over 30 films and Tv series. Some of his most recent works include “Extraordinary” where he played Brian Welsh (2019), Ciaran in “Derry Girls” (2018-2019), and Nigel Berbrooke in the Netflix original “Bridgerton” (2020).
The movie received 12 Emmy nominations.
