She was born in October 1979 and grew up in a Dakota county, in a place called Apple Valley (also in Minnesota). “When I was little,” she said years later about her childhood, “I was very loud and loved performing in front of people. I was fearless.” It was during this time that she became involved with performing both in school and in the community. She became a model. But according to her, she was considered a “heavier model as she was not a skinny girl so she decided not to pursue the career.
Brown attended St. Olaf College, a liberal arts college privately-owned in Northfield, Minnesota. After Olaf, Brianna left Minnesota to try and become an actress in Los Angeles. She was aged 19 and “very shy and self-conscious.” She worked hard to overcome her shyness and nervousness and she gained confidence which saw her through auditions.

In 2010, Brown joined the cast of “General Hospital” the daytime medical drama which has been going on ABC since 1968 a part of the main cast. She portrayed the role of Lisa Niles who was portrayed by Julie Mond earlier. The character is known mostly for being an antagonist to popular characters such as Patrick Drake and Robin Scorpio. In all, Brown was in the show for 242 episodes.

In 2013 ending in 2015, Brianna Brown was a member of the cast of “Devious Minds”, the comedic mystery drama on ABC in which she played the role of Taylor Stappord a regular cast member in season one and three and a guest appearing star in the second season. Taylor was a prostitute sent to seduce Beverly Hill lawyer Michael Stoppard played by Brett Cullen and she ended up falling in love with him and married him. In all, Brown was part of the show for 27 episodes.
Brown was in “EastSiders” the dark comedy-drama that aired on Logo TV’s website. She played Hillary Whitfield for ten of the 27 episodes that made up the whole show which was later sold to Netflix (Brianna Brown didn’t make an appearance in the show when it moved to Netflix).
