Then she moved to the US and joined the show business following the advice of her mother and her story became a new story. Olesya Rulin: Bio

Olesya Rulin was born on March 17, 1986, in Moscow, Russia to Natalia Rulinskaya and Yuriy Rulinsky.  She was raised in a small house in Likhoslavl. Olesya has a brother named Daniil Rulin. Things were so tough for them in Russia which triggered his father to make that green pasture trip to the United States. As things got better for him, he sent for his family to join him and by that Olesya was 8. At the age of 12, her mother encouraged her to join a modeling search contest where she later won representation by four different agencies.

In the United States, they first lived in Texas before settling in Utah. She attended West Jordan Middle School and graduated in 2005. Olesya continued with her education at Westminster College. She also pursued a course in Economics at a University in France, after which she worked as a nursing assistant and briefly at one of Victoria’s Secret’s stores. Olesya Rulinmade her acting debut in 2001 in a Disney Channel television film “Hounded” in a minor role. She made three more appearances in various television series before portraying the role of Kelsi Nielsen in the musical television film “High School Musical” after her college graduation.

It was looking like she was not ready for the screen job when she took full employment at Nordstrom store where fans of Disney’s high school musicals spotted her often. After she returned from France where she had gone to study Economics, she returned to the screen full time.

She also appeared in “High School Musical 2” and “High School Musical 3” reprising the role of Kelsi Nielsen. In motion pictures, she has played the role of Mindy in the horror film “Urban Legends: Bloody Mary”.  Olesya has also portrayed the role of Emily Gates in the film “Apart”. She has also appeared in the following television series “Greek”, “CSI: Miami” and “Drop Dead Diva”

Between 2015 and 2016, she played the role of Calista Secor in “Powers”. She has played a voice role in an episode of Fox animated television sitcom “Family Guy”. In 2019, she played the role of Jenna Robertson on CBS military television series “SEAL Team”. Now that she has focused on completing on acting, we hope to see her often on the screen.
