Anidugbe Oluwatobiloba Daniel who studied Water Resources Management at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is one artiste who broke into the Nigerian music scene with a bang. Kizz Daniel started combining music-making with his studies and in the year 2009, the singer met with Jahbless who started managing his talents, unofficially. Jahbless is a Rapper who at a time was a strong force in the music entertainment scene. His tracks like “Joor” and “69 Missed calls” was once on the lips of every music lover.
In 2009, he started brushing up Kizz Daniel and advising him on how to climb the rungs of the music ladder. That relationship rubbed off on Kizz Daniel who 5 years later, broke into the entertainment scene, winning hearts and awards. Notably, the two have not recorded any song as Jahbless has gone missing from the scene for close to three years now.
Kizz Daniel is still fighting former label G-World Wide Entertainment
G-World Wide Entertainment owner Emperor Geezy discovered Kiss Daniel, or, rather, completed the work Jahbless began. It was under this label that Kizz Daniel went worldwide far more than the label that discovered him. In 2013, he released his first song “Woju” which topped the charts for many weeks. In fact, Woju didn’t just top the charts, it spent 11 weeks on the official MTV Base Naija Top ten.
Kizz Daniel went ahead to team up with Tiwa Savage and Davido on “Woju” remix and to the surprise of many, the remix also topped the charts and was second on the MTV Base official Top ten Naija. With all these, G-Worldwide was soaring and Kizz Daniel became the man many ladies desired to kiss.

However, in November 2017, there was a problem in their World which went wide, the singer angrily walked away from the record label and a series of lawsuits began. G-Worldwide sued the singer for breach of contract and contested the name Kiss Daniel. Kiss become kizz. G-Worldwide also warned him not to perform any of the songs he did under their label and dared organizations to put him on stage.
No one seemed to have paid heed as Kiss Daniel has performed the songs on my stages and occasions, including the Big Brother Naija Double Wahala.
The case is still in court and bad blood is still rife. In June 2018, his former employers sent out a press release warning Kizz Daniel to desist from using his new stage name as it is a derivative of the former one. And in October 2019, G-Worldwide leaked documents showing that they are suing Daniel for 500 million naira.
Kizz Daniel has won countless awards
It never gets boring and it never gets old. I mean of course artiste winning awards. Daniel has been nominated in so many categories of Awards and each nomination that it is nearly impossible to keep track of them all. When it comes to awards, he has always been a strong contender.
The star was nominated for the Next rated Star on the Headies award 2015, an Award he lost to Reekado Banks which proved to be one of the most contentious and controversial as Lil Kesh and Koredo Bello were also nominated. Kizz’s involvement was overshadowed by the fight between Olamide and Don Jazzy over Lil Kesh (whom Olamide rooted for) losing out.

In the 2016 Headies Award, Kizz Daniel went home that night with 3 Awards. His album New Era won the R&B/ Pop album of the year and the overall album of the year. And he also won the Award of the best new artiste under review. He has gone ahead to win more awards and other personal recognition.
There have been rumors that he is a relationship with Chidinma
There are a lot of rumors swirling around the relationship status of Kizz Daniel which linked him to Chidinma Ekile “Miss Kedike” but then again when has that not been the case with celebrities who are close. When Flavour kissed Chidinma in one of his music videos, most people said the duo were dating when it was just a music video.
In the case of Kizz Daniel and Chidinma, the two should share something deep (or not) as an Instagram story of Kizz Daniel once showed Chidinma lying on a mattress. However, according to Daily Post, Chidinma said: “I don’t like to speak about my relationship or love life in public. There is nothing to talk about me and Kiss Daniel; people can say anything they want to say. Whether I am in a relationship with him or not, everyone will get to know later. I find it weird that I am always linked to one musician or the other. At times, it takes extra effort for me to convince people that certain reports about me are untrue.”

Kizz Daniel is into the music world, no doubt, but anytime he has the time, he releases funny skits online which are hilarious enough. If the music career ends tomorrow, Kizz Daniel might switch to full comedy and he might also change his stage name to “Laugh Daniel”.
