Doug Martin and Debbie Martin’s union produced a daughter named Kellie Noelle Martin. Little Kellie was born on October 16, 1975. Her father was a department store buyer while her mother taught in a kindergarten. Kellie’s first interest in the show business was in ballet dancing and she did dance her way into the heart of her aunt who was a nanny for actor Michael Landon. It was through her aunt that she met the actor.
Her encounter with the actor shaped her for the acting journey. Kellie first started off as a child actor at the age of seven. She also appeared in some Burgo King and Taco Bell commercial to further hone her acting skills. After graduating from high school, Kellie attended Yale University where she bagged a BA in Art History.
Is she an only child? No. While growing up Kellie had a sister named Heather who unfortunately died of Lupus at the age of 19, prompting her to start raising awareness about the disease.

Kellie started her acting career in an episode of the 1982 TV series “Father Murphy”. She played the role of Flossie and it was a minor role she landed through the help of her benefactor Michael Landon. Kellie returned to the screen in 1984 in another TV series entitled “Highway to Heaven” on NBC where she portrayed the character of Lisa Ratchett.
Kellie appeared in some other minor roles in TV series before starring in her first film “Jumpin Jack Flash” in 1986 playing the role of Kristi Carlson. Then she had her breakout role and it was in the series “Life Goes On”. Kellie portrayed the role of Rebecca Thacher in the show which aired on ABC from 1989-1993. Her role was well-recieved Kellie was seen as the next big thing.
Kellie also starred as Lucy Knight in the medical drama “ER” on NBC, and lent her voice to the popular kids’ animated series “The Powerpuff Girls”. She had other appearances in films, TV series including medical TV drama “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC. Her latest film credit as the time of writing this came in 2019 when she starred as Hailey Dean in the series “Hailey Dean Mystery: Killer Sentence”.
Following her numerous works on the screen, she has been nominated in some award categories. She won the Young Artist Award twice for best actress starring in a television series in the early ‘90s. Kellie also won the Screen Actors Guild award for her Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series “ER”. She has been nominated for an Emmy Award before.
Aside from acting, Kellie owns an online toy shop named Romp, and she is also a partner in Entertaining Elephants, one of the leading children’s clothing line.
Marriage
Is Kellie Martin married? Yes. The actress is married to entrepreneur Keith Christian, whom she met while studying at Yale. They dated for many years and on 15th May 1999 in Polson, Montana, they tied the knot.
