Bitty Schram has spent a major part of her life in the show business as an actress. With many acting credits under her sleeves, the actress has quite portrayed some attitude outside the screen that calls for a debate. See all the facts about her here.
Bitty Schram: Age and Early Life
There are hundreds of actors in the world with the surname Schram and none is related to Bitty, not even this one. Bitty Schram is the daughter of a sportsman who made his living from the court playing tennis. Her mother worked as a banker and she is the second child among the family number of four siblings.
The actress was born in Mountainside, New Jersey, on July 17, 1968. She picked up an interest of being in the show business as a child (which is usually the national anthem of every actor) but she was never a child actress. She just loved acting but the opportunity never came to be in the industry as a child.
A broken home seems to tear families apart and leave eternal wounds. When she was 10, her parents divorced. However, it didn’t seem to be that way for her as she went on to live a normal life, going on to study at the University of Maryland on a tennis scholarship, where she obtained a degree in advertising design.
Bitty Schram: Career
Bitty Schram made her debut in the crime drama film “Fathers & Sons” in 1992. She played a minor role but the film received good reviews as it was showcased at the 18th Moscow International Film Festival. The same year, she also appeared in a sports-comedy drama film “A League of Their Own” as Evelyn Gardener. She grew up in a sporting environment and must have done so well in the audition to convince the creators that she was the best person to handle the role.
Bitty had it somewhat easy getting roles in films as her career progressed as she appeared in the romantic comedy film “The Night We Never Met” as Pharmacy Clerk, a few more appearances in films and she landed her first role in the TV series “Episode: Long Island Fever” as Penny. In 1999, Bitty was in the supernatural comedy-drama television series “G vs E” on USA Network in its first season.
Bitty appeared on Lifetime Network medical drama series “Strong Medicine” as Juno Bouvoir. Bitty made notable appearances in films like “Marvin’s Room”, “Kissing A Fool” and “Caught” before she landed her big role in the comedy-drama television series “Monk” as Sharona Fleming.
What Happened In The Series “Monk”
The series marked a turning point in the career of Bitty as she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series. She was a regular in season 1-3 of the series and only appeared as a guest in season 8 after her character was replaced.
USA Network responsible for the show reveals that they “decided to go in a different creative direction with some of its characters”. But it appears something else triggered their decision to drop Bitty Schram and other casts like Ted Levine from the series. Hollywood Reporter reports that Bitty Schram and other cast attempted to renegotiate the terms of their contracts and the network regarded them as raise-seeking actors who aren’t absolutely essential to the show. Her role was replaced by Traylor Howard.
Marriage
Who is Bitty Schram married to? The question ought to be is she married? There has to be someone, you wish. The actress is not generous with information when it comes to her private life. No one has any idea of whom she dated in the past. But we can bet she has been in love before (who hasn’t?).
Not to underestimate anything, Bitty Schram might be hiding her man from the unforgiving eyes of the world, very much possible. Or she is not just the marriage/man type. The actor might surprise fans with wedding bells soon. She’s 51, no one is too old for love.
Net worth
The actress has a net worth of $2.5 million. Since she has not hinted about taking a break from acting, we assume that her net worth will rise before she retires. Or not, you can’t bet on nothing on Hollywood. There are enigmas and there is Hollywood.
