Born to Barbara Segall (mother) and Rick Segall II (father), Ricky Segall was raised in their country home in Long Island, New York, and has spent most of his days in Long Island. He is American and of a white ethnic background.
His father was the co-founder of the Lake Ronkonkoma, a New York-based psychedelic pop group named the Smubbs from 1964 to 1970. They had one album in their name, ‘This is the End of the Night’ which was released in 1969. Ricky Segall III is also in a group named Family Portrait with his parents.
Ricky Segall has been part of many movies. He began his acting career at a very tender age given that his father was a pop star. At the age of 2, Ricky has started performing on stages. Two years later, at the age of 4, he was discovered and cast as a series regular Ricky Stevens on ‘The Patridge Family’ a television series that he will be always fondly remembered for.
In this series, he starred as a Patridge Family neighbor that would always sing a children’s song during each episode. He went on to work on many projects in the movie industry, featuring in ‘The Blue Knight’, ‘Police Woman’, Temperatures rising’, ‘How To Eat Like A Child’ which he acted alongside Dick Van Duke and many other projects. He also featured as a regular for two seasons on The Tim Conway Show.

With the hunger for more, he turned his attention to theatre at the age of 12 and was cast in Anthony Newley’s musical ‘Chaplin’. At a young age, Segall also went on to do the production of some movies such as, ‘Come Blow Your Horn’, ‘The Music Man’, and lots more.
According to Mr. Segall, the best parts in his acting career was acting as Fagin in Oliver, Claudius in Hamlet, a movie that he also directed.
In 2004, at the age of 35, Ricky Segall became the director of the Harvard Academy Conservatory of Fine Art with teaching and training contributions in Theatre.
In 2008, his role in Eric Kamler’s ‘Divorce: The Musical at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood was described as ‘Simply terrific, brimming with a raw emotionalism that is heart rending’ by the Los Angeles Times.
For so many years, Ricky Segall has presented his own self-written and directed one-man show named “Barbarian”. He has worked with famous actors like Shirley Jones, David Cassidy, Dave Madden, and lots more.

He got married to Andrea Segall on the 13th of May 1995 and the union was blessed with three children – a boy and two girls (Ashley Assaraf, Alexis Segall, and the son, Micah Segall) before they got divorced. His first daughter, Ashley is married and has a daughter making him a grandfather.
Ricky Segall has a girlfriend named Indrani Mukherjee. She is an Indian dancer. Ricky Segall stands at a height of 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) tall.
He has a total of seven tattoos drawn across his body. ‘Ana Time Aayega’ is boldly written on his right hand, a turtledove which is a matching tattoo with the one his daughter, Alexis, has. He has a sock and buskin tattoo which is a matching tattoo with the one his daughter, Ashley has. A deathly hallows tattoo from Harry Potter can also be seen on his right hand, while SPQR is written on his right arm and also on the left side of his chest.
