Cardi B was born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar on October 11, 1992, in Washington Heights, Manhattan to a Dominican father and Trinidadian mother. She grew up in the Highbridge neighborhood of the South Bronx where she spent most of her time at her paternal grandmother’s home in Washington Heights.
