In 2004, she became involved in her first extensive role on TV when she played Helen Dubois in Nickelodeon’s “Drake & Josh” up to 2007. From 2009, she began playing the role of Shirley Bennett in “Community” which aired on NBC between seasons one and five then on Yahoo! screen in the final season. She appeared as a single mother and vocal Christian with strong sets of morals in 99 episodes of the 110 episodes of the whole show. For her role, she won the Gracie Award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role – Comedy Series or Special.

On the voice aspect, she played the voice of Cookie and other multiple voice roles in the American and Canadian collaborated animated series “Pound Puppies” in which she played 65 episodes in all between 2010 and 2013. In 2016, she joined the cast of “Elena of Avalor” and played 15 episodes to date. There are also video games including the voice of Amanda Waller in “Lego DC Super-Villains” having played a voice role in the series “Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” in 2017.

And 2017 was her busiest, if not the finest year in the industry. She was in about ten acting credits most of them on TV, the most extensive being as part of the main cast of “The Mayor” on ABC. Then “SuperMansion” and “Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero” all voiced roles.

Yvette Nicole Brown is not married. She is heading to fifty and still single. And she is one of the few stars who manage to remain single and still absent in the world of dating and rumor mills. In all her life in Hollywood, she was only linked to one person, the actor Zachary Levi who is most known for starring as Chuck Bartowski in the series Chuck. Levi is nine years younger than Ms. Brown.

We are not sure Levi and Yvette ever dated. If they did, it didn’t work out. In 2014, he got married to the Canadian actress and fashion model Missy Peregrym. They got married in June, separated in December, then divorced in April of the following year.
