William Moseley – All The Facts You Need

William Moseley

Have you seen the film series “The Chronicles of Narnia”? Based on C. S. Lewis’ novels, he played the lead role of High King Peter the Magnificent, the eldest Pevensie child who also happens to be the High King of Narnia during the Golden Age. He was also in the American primetime drama “The Royals”. Here are all the things you need to know about the star.

William Moseley – age

William Moseley was born William Peter Moseley in the Cotswolds village of Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire, England, United Kingdom (there we have it, that one British actor who wasn’t born in London). He is the first of three siblings born to Peter A. Moseley, a cinematographer, and his wife Juliette E. (née Fleming) – his two siblings are named Daisy Elizabeth Moseley and Benjamin Hugh Moseley.

William attended Sheepscombe Primary School and Wycliffe College. Besides his A level in English, Drama, and Media Studies, William was in Brooklyn, New York where he studied practical acting under Sheila Gray who has been described as “one of the best acting teachers and coaches working today”.

Born in April 1987, William Mosley is 34 years old.

Career

William Moseley’s career is said to have been made by the casting director Pippa Hall. She had cast him as an unnamed extra in the TV film “Cider with Rosie” from 1998. She might have made a strong impression on her so much that seven years later when it was time to pick a character for the role of Peter Pevensie she remembered him and gave him a call.

In all, William played the chief character in three of the movies namely The Chronicles of Narnia: “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” in 2005, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” in 2008, and “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” ( a cameo in 2010).

The first film made more than 700 million dollars while the final two made in the excess of 400 million dollars each. In all, the franchise made over 1.5 billion dollars in the box office.

His role as Peter was so massive for him he feared and hoped “I don’t just become ‘Peter from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.’ I want to try and do something else to be a good actor and a respected actor.” His fear seemed to have been true to a large extent as after The Chronicles, he was involved mostly in short films and low-earning and lesser-known films.  Between 2015 and 2018, he was in “The Royals” as Prince Liam Henstridge for the entire forty episodes of the four seasons.

In 2018, Moseley appeared in the Australian film “In Like Flynn” making him one of the very few actors who have acting credits from three different continents.

William Moseley – relationship

William Moseley has had a chequered relationship with women. He was in a video that made the round in 2019 which made many to believe that he was gay. Before then, he had dated Anna Popplewell, the English actress he met on the set of “The Chronicle of Narnia” (Anna is now married to another) and Alexa Hamilton the American actress most known for “NCIS” in 2003 and “The Poseidon Adventure” from 2005.

Little Nicky Cast Where are they?

After the gay video, Moseley has been reported to have dated Antonia Ortega the Mexican actress for two to three years. After Ortega, Kelsey Chow the American actress from “Teen Wolf”. As of 2017, the two are most likely still dating.

No, there is no marriage yet. But what this series of relationships seem to point out is that Moseley may never have been gay and may just have been a young boy looking for attention in a way that most people who are not gay would be reluctant to.

Net worth

If you take away the Chronicles of Narnia series and “The Royals” from Moseley’s filmography, he won’t be William Moseley, he would be a small-time actor who may even struggle to pay his bills. But these two sets of credits mean that William is a relatively big actor and his account balance attests to that.

Moseley’s net worth is put at eight million dollars by the authoritative Celebrity Net Worth.

William is 5 feet 10 inches (or 1.78 m) which is a relatively tall height on any street but which is just the average height of actors in Hollywood.
