His role “Guiding Light” guided him to stardom (Pun unintended) as he earned three nominations for Daytime Emmy Award and won as a young actor in a Drama series in 2006 and 2008.

Tom Pelphrey also got involved in some theatre projects like “A New Television Arrives Finally”, in which he performed at New York’s Theatre 54. After his run with the soap opera, he then signed a contract to another popular soap entitled “As the World Turns”, in which he played the character Mick Dante from 2009 to 2010.

In 2017, he began working on the show “Iron Fist”, which happened to be the adaptation of the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The show was set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with MCU Marvel films.
The first season of the show was heavily criticized despite its strong viewership while the second season was released to a more positive reception, but was eventually canceled in 2018.
