This is the first time I’m writing about a celebrity who shares the same birthday with me. Which means I have a birthday mate who has made a giant mark in the show business, not just in the Cinema of the United Kingdom but also in Hollywood. Editor’s note: No birthday treats for anyone this year. Period.

Here are five things you need to know about Theo James, the English actor, and producer.

1. Theo James was born in Wycombe England

Theo James is the son of Philip Taptiklis, a business consultant and Jane a worker at the National Health Service. He was born on 16 December 1984 in High Wycombe, England. Now to refresh your geography knowledge a little, High Wycombe is a large town in Buckinghamshire and Buckinghamshire shares borders with  Berkshire to the south, Oxfordshire to the west, Northamptonshire to the north, Bedfordshire to the northeast and Hertfordshire to the east. So many shires. So much for a geography class.

Theo James is the last child in the family of five. He has two brothers and two sisters. The actor studied at Aylesbury Grammar School and later proceeded to the University of Nottingham where he bagged a degree in Philosophy.

Theo James discovered that something was missing after his university education so he went to receive training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School to revive his childhood passion, something he almost threw away in the pages of Pluto, Aristotle and the know thyself guy.

2. The actor was a Passionate Woman

No, he is not transgender. The actor made his television debut in the BBC mini-series drama “Passionate Woman” in 2010. He played the role of Alex “Craze” Crazenovski. The same year, the actor made his first film appearance in the movie “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger” as Ray.

In 2011, he appeared as James in the film “The Inbetweeners Movie”. A year later, he made an appearance in an American 3D action horror film “Underworld: Awakening”. Theo James was also in Sky Living’s television series “Bedlam” as Jed Harper. A more prominent role came in CBS crime drama series “Golden Boy” where he played a lead role.

Theo James had his breakout role in the dystopian science fiction action film “Divergent” in 2014. The film is based on the novel written by Veronica Roth. The film was successful enough to inspire a sequel and he starred in “The Divergent Series: Insurgent” portraying the same role of  “Four” Tobias Eaton.

Following the success of the film, Theo James was nominated in a couple of awards. He won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actor in an action film for his role in “Divergent”. The film also landed him the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Breakout Star. He also won the People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Movie Duo with American actress Shailene Woodley.

For his role in the sequel, Theo James won Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Liplock with Shailene Woodley.

In 2019, he appeared in the Sanditon as Sidney Parker and has lent his voice in an upcoming Netflix series “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance”.

3. Theo James is married to Ruth Kearney

Theo James is that type of celebrity whom ladies will be falling over to answer if he mistakenly changes his bio to single. But the actor loves his wife and there is no signal of any divorce rumors. James met Ruth Kearney at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. They fell in love and they got married in Islington Town Hall on 25 August 2018.

Ruth Kearney is an Irish actress who starred as Jess Parker in the series “Primeval”.  They are yet to welcome new additions in their family.

4. Theo James is more than an actor

The actor’s career goes beyond acting, we are talking about entrepreneurship and other business ventures. Theo James is a brand ambassador. He has appeared in print ads and commercials of designer brand Hugo Boss.

Aside from modeling, the actor is also a film producer and director. Sagittarius men are said to be highly talented and Theo James ticked that box (no sentiments). The actor was a singer and guitarist of the London-based band Shere Khan before the band announced their breakup in a Facebook page in 2012.

5. The movie star has a net worth of $15 million

Being more than an actor means you will have many streams of income which should reflect in your financial status. Internet sources put Theo James net worth to be around $15 million and this he made through acting, modeling, and directing. He is still young and the future looks… well, hold your breath.
