Tess Lynch is the only child of Jane Curtin and Patrick Lynch. Her mother is the public one. She is an actress and comedian first made famous following her appearance in “Saturday Night Live” in 1975. Then she became a TV star and featured in the CBS sitcom “Kate & Allie” from the ’80s where she played the title character Allie. For this, she won two Emmy Awards in successive years (Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series).

Curtin has gone on to grab TV, big screen, and Broadway credits. More recently, she was in the movie “Queen Bee” directed by Michael Lembeck (2021). She was on Julius Sharpe’s “United We Fall” a sitcom on ABC (2020). Since 2020, she co-hosts The View Primetime on ABC.
