Taran Killam is an April fool baby. He was born on 1st April 1982 in Culver City, California. His parent’s name has not been made public but his mother is a singer and songwriter who went on tours with The Charlie Daniels Band in the ’80s. On the other hand, his father had acting ambitions and ended up as a member of the City Garage Theatre Group. Taran is the great-nephew of Rosemarie Bowe, wife of actor Robert Stack.

Taran was raised in Big Bear Lake California. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Later, he moved to the University of California, Los Angeles as a musical theater student. Taran Killam made his acting debut in 1994 when he appeared in a minor in the comedy film “Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult”. The same year he appeared in an episode of a sketch comedy series “All That” and continued on the show till 2004.

Later, he played the role of Spaulding, a boy who had a crush on Moody, in the soap opera parody of Nickelodeons Amanda’s show. Taran appeared as Bret Callaway in the teen comedy film “Big Fat Liar” in 2002. The film did very well at the box office and received positive reviews as well.
