Taran Killam is an April fool baby. He was born on 1st April 1982 in Culver City, California. His parent’s name has not been made public but his mother is a singer and songwriter who went on tours with The Charlie Daniels Band in the ’80s. On the other hand, his father had acting ambitions and ended up as a member of the City Garage Theatre Group. Taran is the great-nephew of Rosemarie Bowe, wife of actor Robert Stack.

Taran was raised in Big Bear Lake California. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Later, he moved to the University of California, Los Angeles as a musical theater student. The UCLA theater festivals became a grooming ground for him before he finally departed to chase a career as a professional actor.

Taran Killam made his acting debut in 1994 when he appeared in a minor in the comedy film “Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult”. The same year he appeared in an episode of a sketch comedy series “All That” and continued on the show till 2004.

Later, he played the role of Spaulding, a boy who had a crush on Moody, in the soap opera parody of Nickelodeons Amanda’s show. Taran appeared as Bret Callaway in the teen comedy film “Big Fat Liar” in 2002. The film did very well at the box office and received positive reviews as well.

In 2002, Taran’s biggest moment arrived on TV as he joined the cast of the sketch comedy television series “MADtv” At age 19, he was the youngest cast member to be on the show. Killam has played a voice role in television series like “The Awesomes”. An American adult animated web comedy television series. Since 2015, he has been playing voice roles on the American-Canadian educational animated children TV series “Nature Cat” on PBS kids.

Killam wrote and directed the film “Killing Gunther” he was also a main cast in the film. Actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hannah Simone, Cobie Smulders starred in the movie as well. he has appeared in two stage plays “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Hamilton”.
