Spencer started his acting career in 2009 when he played the role of Nate in the teen sitcom “iCarly”. The sitcom tells the story of Carly Shay, a teenager who creates her own web show called ‘iCarly” with her best friends Sam Puckett and Freddie Benson, in the attic of her apartment loft with her older brother Spencer Shay. The web show quickly becomes an internet phenomenon and the trio must deal with their newfound fame, while also dealing with adolescence. It received mixed reviews but it was also loved by many nevertheless. The same year, he made an appearance in “Jack and Janet Save the Planet” as Jack.
Between the year 2010-2011, Spencer Boldman made an appearance in the Disney XD sitcom, “I’m in the Band”. It was a storyline that was created out of fantasies as Fifteen-year-old Tripp Campbell dreams of being a part of his favorite vintage rock band Iron Weasel, a dream that later came to fruition. Spencer played the role of Bryce Johnson, a rich, smart, and handsome jock. He stole Tripp’s first crush in kindergarten and he stole Lana from Tripp twice.
His first motion picture credit came in 2012 in the movie “21 Jump Street” as French Samuels. The film follows police officers Schmidt and Jenko, who are forced to relive high school when they are assigned to go undercover as high school students to prevent the outbreak of a new synthetic drug and arrest its supplier. It received positive reviews from critics and grossed $201 million worldwide.
He portrayed the character of Bryce in the family drama “Cowgirls ‘n Angels: Dakota’s Summer”. Spencer also starred in the film “Cruise” as Gio Fortunato, a blue-collar Italian-American who is preoccupied with car racing and chasing women until he met a nice Jewish girl.

Spencer Boldman landed his biggest TV role in 2012 when he played the character of Adam Davenport in Disney XD comedy series “Lab Rats”. The series tells the story of a young teenager named Leo Dooley lives a normal life until the day his mother Tasha gets married to billionaire inventor Donald Davenport, with whom they move in. This role made Spencer more famous. Spencer also appeared in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Zapped” opposite Zendaya. He played the role of Jackson Kale, Zendaya’s love interest in the movie. The premiere earned around 5.7 million viewers and was one of the most-watched broadcast on the cable.
