Sean Patrick Flanery was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana in October 1965. He grew up in a small village in Texas just outside of the city of Houston. He studied at Awty International School, Houston and at John Foster Dulles High School in Sugar Land, Texas, named after the Cold Era secretary of state. For his higher education, he attended the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

Aged nine, he began interested in taekwondo which he began training in. He went on to get a black belt, a sort of a grandmaster title in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Sean Patrick Flanery began his journey in Hollywood in a rather dramatic fashion. In Houston, every Monday, he would see a pretty girl past his apartment and enter a building. Smitten and intrigued, he decided to sign up for “whatever” the damsel was doing in the building. It turned out that the building was a theater and the “hell” they were doing there was acting. He signed up. Inspired by the lessons, Sean wrote a play. Convinced that he had written a powerful play, he headed off to Los Angeles to get it staged. His career was born.

A series of small roles in obscured or direct-to-video movies followed then he played the title character in the 1995 fantasy film “Powder” in which he played he was an albino with incredible talents plus telepathy and paranormal powers. Around this time, he was the Young Indiana Jones in the TV film series “The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones” on ABC.

More recently, he was in the horror film “Saw 3D” from 2010.

On the TV aspect, he was on UPN “The Strip” between 1999 and 2000. He was the vice president of the United States of America in the American/Canadian sci-fi drama on USA Network, adapted from a Stephen King novel, between 2002 and 2007, appearing in 19 episodes. In 2011, he was Sam Gibson in the series “The Young and Restless” on CBS. Plus dozens of other TV shows.

Sean Patrick Flanery was married two times. First, he was married to the actress Sasha (or sometimes spelled Sacha) Grierson. She is most known for her roles in “Universal Soldier II: Brothers in Arms” and “Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business” (all from 1998). The union between Sean and Sasha produced a daughter named Lola Flanery who has grown to become an actress. One of her most recognized show is as Cambie in Netflix drama “Mary Kills People” and in “The 100” the drama on the CW.

Sean’s second marriage was to Lauren Michelle Hill an actress and model who among many modeling endeavors was on the cover of Playboy magazine. She was born in 1979 which makes her nearly 15 years younger than her man but it is the years that count. The marriage is blessed with two sons.
