Robbie Tann And His Journey In Hollywood

Robbie Tann is an actor, singer, and writer, known for playing Billy Ross in 2021’s “Mare of Easttown”, Reggie in “Preacher” (2017), and John in “Fugitive Dreams” (2020). Apart from his brilliant performance on screen, Robbie is unique for having different looks in all his movies. It is almost like a different person.

Robbie Tann moved around a lot when he was a kid, and this is what he has now grown to love too. Robbie Tann is from Texas, but he was born in Houston and raised in Dallas. Tann indicated in an interview that his acting career has taken him to so many cities in the United States.

After moving around for a while, Robbie has finally decided to live in New York City. Well, until he decides to move again.

Robbie Tann studied theater at C.W. Post University where he gained most of his professional experience apprenticing at the Tony Award-winning Actors Theatre of Louisville. Tann is an alum of LIU Post, a private university in Brookville, New York.

Robbie Tann started from the theater

Robbie has performed as an actor all over the country. In New York City, Robbie has performed at the Pearl Theatre Company, Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, New Victory Theatre, New Ohio Theatre, New York Classical Theatre, New York Musical Theatre Festival, Theatre Askew, and the American Globe. He has also participated in many developmental projects including those with Yale Rep/A.R.T, The Signature Theatre, The LARK, 2G at the New Ohio, and Sara Farringtons’ FoxyFilms.

His work has also been seen in some major regional theaters such as the Long Wharf Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and many others.

Robbie Tann’s TV and Film credit

Robbie Tann has been acting since childhood but he didn’t make his film debut until 2015, opposite Jason Bateman in “The Family Fang”.

Robbie has appeared on television shows such as “FBI” as Victor Maxwell in 2021, “Prodigal Son” Boyd Hicks in 2021, ”Shades of Blue” Earl in 2016, “The Blacklist” as Zeke Wilson in 2017, and several others.

Robbie also appeared in the feature film “Freeheld” opposite Julianne Moore and Elliot Page. He played a supporting lead in Lindsey Copeland’s feature film “Hedgehog” as Kyle opposite Madeline Brewer. In 2019, Robbie Tann starred in the popular movie “Porno” as Heavy Metal Jeff which premiered at SXSW.

Working in the theater for many years has given Robbie enough experience that he can share. Robbie Tann teaches acting for TV/Film and professional skills for actors at the same institution. He also teaches auditioning for TV/Film at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.
