Rebecca Haarlow is a well-recognized American sportscaster and current sideline reporter for MSG Network, NBA TV, the NBA on TNT, and the Big Ten Network. Here is everything we know about the star.

Rebecca Haarlow: Background and Early Life

The sportscaster was born on December 20, 1978, to May and John Harlow in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up with her two brothers; Mike and John.

Growing up, she had her high school education in Hinsdale Central High School where she participated endlessly in sports. Her love for sports led to her winning medals at different levels while still in high school. She won the State Class AA track and field medal by participating in an 800 relay medley race finishing at the eighth position, she finished eighth in the 400 relay category, sixth in the triple jump.

After graduating high school, she furthered her education by attending Princeton University to acquire a degree in American history.

Back in Princeton, she was actively involved in sports, and was the team captain for Track and Field, earning her a first-team All-Ivy status in Heptathlon. At 4700 point in the All-Ivy Heptagonal Outdoor Championship. She joined the Alpha Kappa Theta sorority and the Tiger Inn Club.

Rebecca Haarlow: Career

Prior to becoming a reporter, Rebecca did internships with ABC, NBC, and The Golden State Warriors in San Francisco, to enable her to grow her knowledge as a sportscaster and reporter. This proves useful to her in her career as she was able to cull enough know-how in the sporting media world.

In 2003, she became the Public Relations Officer at Silicon Valley and afterward moved on to cover games for the NBA. She also worked for the San Jose Sharks and as a sideline reporter in Sacramento and went ahead to host several shows for ESN while she reported on the sides for college football under The Big Ten before moving to Portland.

In 2007, She was employed to report for the Portland Trail Blazers, which included giving live feedback to fans. However, she later moved to Fox News Net. And in 2011, she joined as a news anchor for the year’s NFL season.

As she progressed in her career, in 2013, she was contracted to report for the NBC 5 in Chicago and also doubles as a replacement for Tina Cervasio of the MSG Network, she also reported for the New York Knicks Telecasts giving pre-game and post-game interviews of players.

Undoubtedly, the star reporter is living her dreams following an interview on Blazer’s Edge, in 2008, she has stated that she always wanted to be a sport as well as a business person, and for someone who loves sports so much, being a sportscaster reporting the sports to fans is an experience equivalent to participating in the game.

She however admitted not envisioning herself in front of television cameras, but, after college, it became a reality for her as the options open for her to be an on-air personality.

In 2015, Rebecca moved to MSG Network where she currently serves as a reporter for the New York Knicks telecast. Besides reporting for MSG Network Haarlow also reports for NBA on TNT and the Big Ten Network.

Rebecca Haarlow is a renowned on-air personality who is known for having worked, and working with some big names in the sports media world, regardless, she enjoys her privacy and keeps the information about her personal life out of the limelight.

Her relationship life is however obscure as she has not released any information in that regard to the public. Presumably, she could be single or in a love affair and have decided to stay low about it. Whichever way, she is committed to channeling her energy into her work which she loves.
