During the early stage of his career, Randy Boone co-starred in his first acting role as Vern Hodges in the NBC comedy-drama “It’s a Man’s World”, which was based on the activities of four young men living on a houseboat on the Ohio River. The television series was aired on NBC from September 17, 1962, to January 28, 1963.
After that first cast, Randy Boone’s career skyrocketed, He made guest-starred in the episode of the series “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour”. Thereafter he also appeared in Wagon Train and The Twilight Zone episode “The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms”.
Boone’s career reached a different level when he joined the cast of “The Virginian” an American Western television series, the show was initially aired on NBC from 1962 to 1971, for a total of 249 episodes. Randy Boone portrayed as the singing cowboy Randy Benton, appearing in 46 episodes over two seasons and he got to compose original songs that were featured in the series. He won the Bronze Wrangler award from the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in 1966 for acting in the episode “The Horse Fighter”.
From the year 1967 to 1968, Boone co-starred in the western series “Cimarron Strip”, playing the role of a photographer Francis Wilde, who is also a part-time deputy to Marshal Jim Crown. After Cimarron Strip, Boone made a few television appearances, including NBC’s “Emergency” as Bill Stagg and ABC’s “Kolchak: The Night Stalker” as Gene the Fiddler alongside Darren McGavin.
Boone also appeared in the cult movie “Terminal Island” as Easy in 1973, also as Deputy Dickie Haycroft in the television movie “Savages” and starred in “Dr. Minx” in 1975 as Brian Thomas.
Apart from acting, Randy Boone also had a career in music, releasing musical albums like “Randy Boone and Roberta Shore the singing stars of the Virginian”, “Ramblin Randy” and others, although none of his albums were commercially successful.

Randy is currently married to Lana S. Redick, they both walked down the aisle on May 16, 2009. Boone was previously married to Sylvia Howell back in 1966 and they both had a son named Richard (born in 1967) although the couple divorced just three years after their marriage.
