Perdita Weeks

Perdita Weeks was born Perdita Rose Annunziata Weeks in South Glamorgan, the county containing the Welsh capital, Cardiff. The star was born on a Christmas day to Robin and Susan Weeks. She grew up to study art history at Courtauld Institute. But it was another form of art that Perdita will end up with.

Perdita Weeks Family and Sister(s?)

Perdita has two siblings Honeysuckle Hero Susan Weeks (born August 1, 1979), known professionally as just Honeysuckle Weeks, and Rollo Weeks, brother. Honeysuckle? Yes, it is a real name, it is the name of the flower that was rampant at the time little Weeks was born.

Honeysuckle is six years older than Perdita even though the younger one is the more famous of the duo. Theirs is a family of artists in moving pictures as their brother acted few films as a boy but has now moved on to being a businessman. Unlike his sisters, he wasn’t born in Wales. He was born Rollo Percival Loring Weeks in Chichester, England on March 20, 1987.

Perdita has Honeysuckle as her only sister. Romilly Weeks is not a relation of Perdita Weeks. The British just like to bear names of time and that is that. Romilly and Perita are not even of the same country. Romilly Weeks is an English reporter with ITV news, born in 1973 and living in London.

Perdita and Honeysuckle are not the kinds of siblings to allow rivalries and jealousies to come between them. At least that is the impression we have of them and that is what Perdita says, she says the two are extremely close. In the 1990s the duo co-appeared in films. The Weeks sisters starred in “Goggle Eyes”, a TV mini-series based on a novel by Anne Fine and acted in 1993, and in “The Rag Nymph” (1997) Perdita played the younger version of her older sister.

How Old is Perdita Weeks? – And career

Age they say is just a number. In the movie industry, like most other industries, it is not the age, it is what you bring to the table. Born on December 25, 1985, Perdita Weeks is 33 years (as of July 2019) but she has faired far better than many of her peers. She had her screen debut in 1993 and has now appeared in nearly 30 movies.

Perdita Weeks played the prominent role of Mary Boleyn in The Tudor, a TV show that ran between 2007 and 2008 and depicted the history of England during the time of Henry VIII. Weeks featured in “The Prince and the Pauper” (2000), in the TV version of “Titanic” (2012). She featured in “Lost in Austen”, a mini-TV series that borrowed content from Jane Austen’s novel Pride and Prejudice.

Before these, as a teenager, Weeks played Hannah Moore, a murderous teenager in the show “Midsomer Murders”.

More recently, in 2019, Perdita Weeks voiced the character of Morgan Le Fay in “Du Lac & Fey: Dance of Death”, the video game published for Windows by Sakix Game. The game is set in Victorian London and features legendary and historical figures.

Perdita is a member of the cast of the American crime drama series, “Magnum P.I.”, on CBS. This drama is a remaking of the drama of the same name from the 1980s. Perdita Weeks plays Juliet Higgins, a former MI6 agent. The second season of the drama is expected in late 2019. Amazingly, this Higgins’ character was a man in the original Magnum P.I.

What does that say of Perdita? Nothing; this is no time for theories.

Perdita Weeks’ Nationality, Marriage, and Children

Weeks was born in Wales by Welsh parents and grew up in Wales which makes her a dye-in-the-wool Welsh if one can be so dyed. Perdita is British and happily married to an American. This might be why people wonder about her nationality. No, she hasn’t renounced her British citizenship and there is nothing that suggests that she has any plan of doing so in the near future.

Perdita is married to Kit Frederiksen. They wedded in October 2012 and the two are parents to Rupert Sebastian Frederiksen and Humphrey Carrington Frederiksen, a set of twins born to them on April 30, 2013.

To her credit, Perdita keeps her family out of the public. We know his name but we do not know the occupation, his age, his net worth nor do we have a picture of him alone anywhere. And no, he is not on Social Media nor has he and his wife given Social Media a cause to speculate. Being famous and keeping your home private is something most stars desire, something most of them fail to do, something they can learn from Mr. and Mrs. Frederikson.
