Ozo BBNaija: Age, Family, Education, Everything You Need To Know

Ozo is one of the most known names in the Big Brother house. While he doesn’t seem to have an army of online footsoldiers, it can be said without fair that Ozo is in most watchers of Big Brother Naija’s top three. They say he is handsome and brainy and that he has a leader in him; they conclude with the backhand brush-off question, “What else do you need in a man?” Here is everything you need to know about the housemate who can be counted in the top three likely winners.

Age, family, and background

Ozo was born Ozoemena Joseph Chukwu on the 4th of August 1993. He is the only son among three sisters, two of whom are older than he is – two of whom are medical doctors and the third being a lawyer. The father is a doctor and the mother is a professor which makes it a family of intellectuals. Ozo’s own profession is not particularly well-defined.

Ozo is a graduate of Kharkiv National University Of Radio Electronics ( in Ukraine, Eastern Europe) where he graduated with a first-class Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Cybernetics (obtained in 2014). He didn’t stop there; he went on to obtain, in 2016, a degree in Strategic Communication For Leadership, Communication and Media Studies from the Biznesa Augstskola Turība, a famous business school in Latvia.

In 2018, he was in Riga Technical University, Latvia where he graduated with a Master of Science degree in Business and Financial Management. So you can call Ozo a communications expert, a financial expert,or an economics, and that won’t be enough because he went on to train as a Football scout.

Age is 28 years old.

Career

Between 2012 and 2015, he was the Chief Operating Officer at Stemay CCXL3 clothing.

Between November 2014 and October 2015, he was a high school teacher and football coach working for the Federal Government of Nigeria and Rangers Football Club.

He was a player scout for FS METTA/Latvijas Universitāte between March 2017 and April 2017.

He also served as a Customer Relations Specialist at Intelligent Systems between August 2017 and December 2017.

He worked as a football academy analyst at Latvian Football Federation from May 2018 to August 2018. Ozo worked as a Sports analyst at Dream FM in Enugu between April 2019 and May 2019.

Starting from January 2019, he has been working as a Human Resource/Compliance Manager at Dezern Nigeria. His greatest achievement in life, he said, was working for a UEFA unit.

Ozo’s time in the house

Ozo has one of the most dramatic time in the house. He is involved in what could be said to be one of the hottest love triangle in the house without actually dating anyone of them. Ozo likes Nengi whose relationship fans call “Ozone”. Ozo also also likes Dorathy whom he appear to see just as a friend but who may as well be his second-choice.

The fact that Nengi has the biggest behind in the show and the Dorathy the biggest chestline makes the story of Ozo’s romance even more eye-raising. In the beginning of the show, he drew the envious wrath of many Nigerian men when he was dared to touch Dorathy’s boobs and he did.

But Nengi and Ozo are far from been an item. Nengi who has a boyfriend outside had repeatedly mentioned that she was not in the house for a relationship, claiming it has to be friendship and nothing else. “I told Ozo that I have someone I’m dating,” she said in the house; ‘he changed my life outside the house, so why would I come here and disrespect him, I’m not going to do that.”

The “Dorozone” triangle caused bad blood between Dorathy and Nengi. Dorathy explained her reason for beefing Nengi. “I don’t hate Nengi,” she told Ozo, “but [I] just dislike her game and how she’s trying to use you. That’s the reason I’m keeping my distance.” But it doesn’t seem that way as Dorathy was once caught on camera peeping into the kitchen just to know what Nengi and Ozo who were in the kitchen were doing. She only left when she saw nothing amiss.

At the time of writing this, Ozo has the distinction of been the only housemate to win the Head of House twice. The outcome of all of his winnings were dramatic. The first time he won, he chose Dorathy to be Deputy Head of House. After this appointment he spent a good portion of his evening, explaining his decision to Nengi much to the vexation of his fans and random watchers on the internet.

In the sixth week, Ozo won the Head of House. This time around, he chose Nengi to be the DHOH. As usual, he had a long explanation to make to his other “wife” Dorathy as to why he wouldn’t choose her this time around. In the Head of House bed, Nengi continued to be the drama queen she was, putting a pillow between herself and Ozo.

Ozo and Trikytee were the winners of Pepsi Turn Up music challenge that took place on the 26th of August in which the housemates were made into a group of two and made to sing a song of one of the Pepsi ambassadors. Ozo and Trikytee were a tag-team in #TeamTekno and they sang his song “Duro” (check the full details here). Their performance was adjudged the best and the duo won one million naira each and an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai for the One Africa Music Fest and also a year’s supply of Pepsi (each, each).
