Oscar 2021 Winners – The Complete List

Awards, Movies
oscar 2021 winner

Every year, people find a way to find things to beef about the Oscars. Oscar 2021 is on record as one with the highest noms for people of color and women. And one or two people o cor won whom I didn’t think should have won but that is not the issue. Anthony Hopkins was the issue, an old white man taking the award of a young deceased black man, Chadwick Boseman (nominated for his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” and largely expected to get the price).  In a normal year, there won’t be beef for Hopkins winning – he was brilliant in “The Father” and deserves the award more than Daniel Kaluuya won for “Judas and The Black Messiah”. But I can understand the outrage for two reasons:

One, the organizers of the show swapped the order of the Oscar 2021 winners awards to have Bet Actor and not Best Picture coming last. Then last year winner Jacques Phonix came on stage to present the award. Then he announced Anthony Hopkins as the winner. Two, Hopkins didn’t show up to receive the award. It was an anti-climax to the end of a show that was coming off a terrible year for the industry.

There are many other things to beef about this award but we won’t dwell on it. Here is the list of winners. Be the judge.
