Osas Ighodaro: Career

In 2012, she joined the cast of “Tinsel” as Adanna. The endless soap has been lauded as the most successful television drama on Nigerian television in recent times as it has also given young and veteran actors a platform to boost their acting CV. Osas played the role of Adanna from 2012 to 2014 before she gained a role in the 2015 romantic crime action film directed by Remi Vaughan-Richards “The Department”. The film starred Desmond Elliot, Majid Michel and then young actor Kenneth Okolie.  The film tells the story of a secret department in a business conglomerate, as its gang members blackmail top executives into selling their companies to the leader of the conglomerate. Osas played the role of Tolu, the love interest of Nnamdi played by Majid Michel.

Osas made herself available to the theater side of the show business and appeared in “Fela and the Kalakuta Queens”, “He said, She said”, “Revenge of a King” and many others. Osas became more convinced that the Nigerian entertainment industry would offer her more opportunities than Hollywood where she might find it difficult getting roles as a lead cast. She played the role of Sade Bello in Kemi Adetiba’s crime thriller political film “King of Boys”. The film starred Sola Sobowale, Toni Tones, and Adesua Etomi-Wellington. In 2019, she played the role of Candy in Funke Akindele‘s directorial debut, the political comedy “Your Excellency”.

Osas Ighodaro in 2020 starred in Namaste Wahala as Preemo. She also plays the role of sergeant Alice Iyanu in “MTV Shuga”. The actress also starred in Tyler Perry’s “Meet the Browns”. Marriage and other facts

Osas married Gbenro Ajibade in 2015. Gbenro is an actor, producer, and model who has been in the daytime show “Tinsel” since 2008. It is not clear if it was on the set of the show that Osas met her husband. They tied the knots in July 2015, their white wedding took place in the US. The marriage was blessed with a daughter in 2016 before marital storms began to hit their love life. It usually starts with rumors, then unfollowing on Instagram and name-calling and theirs wasn’t any different.

When the marriage ended, Gbenro updated fans on social media as he narrated that he never wanted to get married. Could it be that Osas tripped her into marrying her? We don’t have a clue. “I was one of such persons who swore never to get married,” he told the press. After the marriage ended, he slammed his ex-wife for keeping their baby with a stranger in order to party wild with friends. “Who leaves their baby in the house and goes out to party with friends/events from 6 pm to 5 am?!!! It is not the first, second, third, and fourth time, the other night you slept out you sent our baby off with a stranger to drop her off at home with the nanny so you can be out all night,” he told Pulse.ng.

Both Osas and Gbenro have not remarried although in early 2020 Osas flaunted an endowed lady on Social Media, grabbing her behind on more than one occasion. Many were afraid that this was a petty sign that he was yet to get over Osas. He could just be having fun. No one should go to any shrine and swear that Osas hadn’t had a day of fun since the two divorced.

Osas Ighodaro who emerged the highest-grossing Nollywood actress of 2018. The actress is worth a fortune.
