Lola Glaudini – See Family, Career And Other Facts

Lola Glaudini is one of those names that ring a bell without actually crashing the bell. Wondering where you have heard the name or seen the face before? CBS’ Criminal Minds, HBO’s The Sopranos, and the series NYPD Blue. These are arguably the most prominent screen appearances of the actor. And below are all the details we believe you need to know.

Family: Father and mother

Lola was born in New York City. She was born to Mr. Robert Glaudini, an actor and playwright of Italian descent. We have already profiled two Italian-descended actresses. (See the first star with Italian blood and the second actress with Italian heritage. A category for Italian Ancestry isn’t so far-fetched now.)

Mr. Glaudini was born in New York City and writes by the alias of Bob Glaudini. He has written a couple of plays including “Jack Goes Boating”, “The Poisoned Tree”, and “Vengeance Is The Lord’s”. His plays have enjoyed relative Off-Broadway success.

Lola Glaudini’s mother is called Nina Diane Rosen, formally known as Nina Diane Kapler. Like her partner Bob Glaudini, Nina is a writer who teaches in a Californian College. Ms. Rosen is from a Jewish family in New York. Lola is an only child.

Lola Glaudini: Husband and children

Lola Glaudini is married. The star actress got married to Stuart England. The wedding didn’t happen in England. That is his name and we do not know a lot about him except that he is a businessman with a thing for jewelry design, a thing enough to enable him to own his own jewelry line.

The couple got married in 2005 when she was 33 and the marriage has entered its second dozen years. Perhaps they are right that advised Hannah Gross that mid-twenties relationships are not worth the pen with which they are written.

Mr. and Mrs. England are blessed with two kids named Valentino England and Montaigne England. The couple lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Lola Glaudini: Addiction and career

Lola was named Dolores Mayo. She was a young lady whose dream was to become a dancer but somehow found herself in the police department. Mayo would fight her colleagues and supervisors. She later lost it all, became a stripper, a shoplifter, involved in substance abuse which later killed her as she was found dead someday, overdosed.

These are all in the series “NYPD Blue”. Not the real Lola and we are talking about her career and this is one of her most known roles.

Ms. Glaudini began her career in 1996, well into her twenties, in an independent movie called “Without A Map”. She went on to appear in two forgettable passing roles in “NYPD Blue” before hitting a bigger role in seasons five and six. After this, in 1999,  Glaudini appeared in a list of one-episodic appearances on TV and so-so movies until 2005 when her career got a rejig with her appearance as Elle Greenaway in the TV drama “Criminal Minds”.

Elle Greenaway is an FBI agent in the special Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) who underwent trauma, near-fatal encounters and spoke fluent Spanish.

Lola has appeared as Deborah Ciccerone-Waldrup on HBO’s “The Sopranos” and other series including as Captain Shaddid in SyFy’s “The Expanse” as Polly Hinton in ABC’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.LD”. Lola is more of a Television star. She has more than a dozen film credit, but for every one film she has acted, she has more than two TV credits to show for it.

In September 2020, Lola Glaudini played a role in the comedy film “She’s In Portland” directed by Marc Carlini and starring Tommy Dewey, Francois Arnaud, and Minka Kelly. The film was released digitally and on-demand.

Does Lola Glaudini speak Spanish?

As Elle Greenaway in “Criminal Minds”, investigations took her to Mexico and she communicated in solid Spanish with a character. In that series, her mother was from Cuba. In reality, Glaudini has Italian heritage and there is nothing from her past to suggest a year or so in Spain or South America, nor life in a Spanish neighborhood.

Our best guess is that Lola did what most good actors do, they learn a few foreign language lines and master them with the help of a dialect coach until they get to sound like good speakers on your screen. Lola learned the Spanish lines she said in “Criminal Minds”.

Other Lola Facts

Lola Glaudini stands at 5 feet 8 inches or 1.73 meters, that’s a relatively tall height for someone with no known modeling gigs. And she weighs 58 Kg or 128 lbs. We do not know her bra size and we wonder why that keeps you awake at night.

Glaudini’s net worth is put at four million US dollars, just short of the convenient five million we analyzed at the end of  this post.
