Talk about actresses who knew they were made for the camera lights at a tender age then you will be referring to Kirsten Storms.
The actress was born on 8th April 1984 in Orlando, Florida, the United States to parents Mike storms and mother Karen Storms. She has appeared in the American Daytime Series “General Hospital” and other TV series. Here are five facts about the actress you need to know.
1. Kirsten Storms interest in acting started at the age of 5
Storms grew up knowing a thing about TV and being famous because her Dad, Mike Storms is a sports broadcaster. At age 5, she was discovered by a talent scout who suggested to her parents to get her into an intensive children’s acting camp in Catskill in New York in order to sharpen her acting skills.
She then appeared in the commercials of Galoob Baby Doll. In 1996, she portrayed the role of Ashley in the TV series “Second Noah”. A year after, she appeared in the video “Crayola Kids Adventures: The Trojan Horse” where she starred the role of Venus.
There was no year she was not busy with a project and in 1998, she appeared in the TV series like “You Wish”, “Any Day Now” and “7th Heaven”.

Her breakout role came in 1999 after she portrayed the role of Emily in the TV movie “Johnny Tsunami”
Then, she appeared in the Disney Channels original film entitled “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century” as a title character. In 2005, she portrayed the role of Maximillian Jones on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital”.
As a voice artist, Storms has given her voice in a Disney animated series named “Kim Possible”.
2. Illnesses kept her away from General Hospital Twice
Storms has twice battled with illnesses that sent her to the real General hospital. In September 2011 while working on the set of the TV series “General Hospital” she reported that she was diagnosed with endometriosis (a disease related to a uterus resulting in abdominal, periods, and sexual pain)
From September 2011 to September 2012, Storms was replaced on the show by Jen Lilley. Again, in May 2016, Storms took another break from General Hospital, this time with the issues of the skin caused by stress. She also stayed away from General Hospital until August 2017.
In all these, some people believed that she was never sick but checking into a Rehab and this opinion gathered more strength when she got pregnant even with her endometriosis medical condition.
3. Storms was once arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DUI)
Storms is still under 40 but she has had a checkered past. On September 7, 2017, Kirsten stopped by California Highway Patrol for throwing a lit cigarette out from the window of her Mercedes. When she failed the sobriety test, she was arrested for DUI. On the test, her blood contained above 0.13 alcohol content while the limit is of 0.08. In November 2007, she was claimed to the charges and paid $1,643 fine and completed 90-day alcohol program. Her driving license was suspended for six months and she was given a three years probation.
4. Kirsten Storms had a secret a marriage
By the time Brandon Barash and Kirsten Storms went public with their marriage, they were already expecting a baby. It was later discovered that Barash proposed to Storms with a blue-raspberry Ring Pop while at a gas station in Wrightwood, California in 2013 and they wedded same year in “Caesars Palace”. The duo met on the set of the TV series “General Hospital”
And in 2014, they welcomed Harper Rose Barash into their world and in 2016, they announced their divorce due to irreconcilable differences. “We are splitting due to the cliché irreconcilable differences, but we’re splitting amicably. We have every intention of remaining a family through this and successfully co-parenting our kid and retaining a friendship in the efforts of raising her in a healthy environment.” Barash told Soap Opera Digest.

Recently, Storms is rumored to be dating a guy named Elias Paul Reidy. Reidy is a musician who was once part of the band “The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus”. In January 2018, Storms posted a picture she took with Reidy on Instagram with a caption “#boyfriendoftheyearaward!”. Only a woman who has found love can go this far.
5. Kirsten Storms is an award-winning actress
Following her role in the American daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives” she won the award for Outstanding Child Actor in 2001. She has also won the Young Artist awards twice out of the three different times she has been nominated.
In 2009, she was nominated in Daytime Emmy Awards for the first time in her life following her role in the American daytime television medical drama “General Hospital”
