Kerri Green was born on January 14, 1967 in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She grew up in Woodcliff Lake, and attended Pascack Hills High School. Kerri is of Russian Jewish and Dutch Jewish descent. Growing up, she was so passionate about being a movie star that she even had to skip summer camp in order to attend some movie auditions in New York City instead. Kerri played the role of Andy Carmichael in the adventure comedy film “The Goonies”. The film is based on a story by executive producer Steven Spielberg which follows a band of kids who live in the “Goon Docks” neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon as they attempt to save their homes from foreclosure and, in doing so, they discover an old treasure map that takes them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune of One-Eyed Willy, a legendary 17th-century pirate.
The film grossed $124 million worldwide on a budget of $19 million and has since become a cult film. And in 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”. Not many actors have the grace of being part of projects that might outlive them.
She starred as the daughter of a stressed-out air traffic controller in the comedy film “Summer Rentals” She starred in the American romantic film “Lucas” as the center of a love triangle between the characters of Corey Haim who is now late and Charlie Sheen who was later accused of sexually abusing Corey Haim when he was 13, hungry for Hollywood success.
It all seemed like every film Kerri touches would turn to gold but her film “Three for the Road” in which she played Robin, the rebellious daughter of a ruthless senator which featured Charlie Sheen and Alan Ruck, was a commercial failure. It was after this outing that Kerri decided to go get a degree in college.
