Kelly Carlson was born in Minneapolis Minnesota USA on February 17, 1976, to a high school basketball coach father Lee Dixon Carlson and a mother named Mary Joan who held a career as a professional hairdresser. The actress and model was raised in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Growing up, her interest was in sports and this is not a surprise being that her father was an astute sportsman. Kelly picked interest in horse riding and has since become a good equestrian. However, her interest in the show business kicked when her family moved to Richfield, it was during this same period that she completed her high school.

The series focuses on “McNamara/Troy”, a cutting-edge, controversial plastic surgery center, and follows the personal and professional lives of its founders Dr. Sean McNamara and Dr. Christian Troy. Kelly stayed on the show for seven years. Also during her seven-year stint on the show, she appeared in drama television series “Everwood” as Ada.

She has appeared in several feature films like “Paparazzi” (2004), “The Marine” (2006), the direct-to-video sequel “Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation” (2004), and a supporting role in the comedy film “Made of Honor” (2008) alongside Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan.

Following creative differences with the casting director of “Killer Movie”, her character was replaced by former Pussycat Doll turned actress Cyia Batten before filming began. The actress and former model a short appearance in the 2009 Canadian television film “Degrassi Goes Hollywood”.
