Jesse Metcalfe was born Jesse Eden Metcalfe in December 1978 in a place called Carmel Valley Village in California. He has Anglo-Saxon, Celtic and Latin blood in his veins as his father has English, Irish, French and Italian heritage. He also has Iberian roots as his mother is of Portuguese descent.

Jesse grew up in Connecticut where for a long time, it looked like he was going to be a sportsman when all the basketballs he has played are taken into consideration. Career

Jesse Metcalfe began his career in 1999 in the TV series “Passion” on NBC. He played the role of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald, the last son of the Mexican-Irish family around which the series revolves. Metcalfe’s character was involved in a love triangle that included black magic, heartbreak, and uncomplimentary hide-and-seek. Miguel is one of Jesse’s best-known characters. It was for this character that he dropped out of university. And while he was on the set of “Passion”, he featured in one episode of the series “Smallville” on DC Comics and the television movie “44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out” on FX.

After Passion in 2004, he made his movie debut as the title character in “John Tucker Must Die”. In all, Jesse was part of about a dozen films but you have to look on TV for his most prominent roles. One of his most known films is “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” a film that was released in 2009 to widespread negative reviews and a major bomb in the box office where it made a mere three million dollars of a budget of 25 million dollars.

In 2016, he played the lead role of Chase Carter, an investigative journalist in the film “Dead Rising: Endgame”. This one was more successful in the reviewers’ desk, making an aggregate score of 6.7 out of ten in IGN.

In 2004, Jesse left “Passion” for housewive. He began playing a part of ABC’s “Desperate Housewives”. He played the role of John Rowland the teen gardener who had an affair with one of the housewives. He was in seasons one (main cast), two, three, four, and six as a guest appearance. For this role, Metcalfe won two awards, the Choice TV Breakout Performance: Male in solo and part of the cast that won Screen Actors Guide award of Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series all in 2005. Plus one other nomination. In all, he played 30 episodes in this show.

In 2010, Metcalfe joined the cast of “Chase” the police procedural drama on NBC in which he played the role of a US Marshall whose work was chasing and catching federal fugitives for 18 episodes that was the whole show as it was canceled after one season. Then between 2012 and 2014, he was a part of the main cast of “Dallas” on TNT (40 episodes).
