1. Jennifer Finnigan is a Canadian

Jennifer Finnigan draws her root from Montreal, Canada. Born on August 22, 1979, to Diane Rioux Finnigan and Jack Finnigan. Her father was a radio presenter at the CJAD channel in Montreal, Canada while her mother was a homemaker.

Jennifer developed a keen interest in dancing, so her parents enrolled her in dance lessons as a child. She was further enrolled at The Sacred Heart School of Montreal” for her high school after which she ended up studying Communications in the university.

2. She started her career as a model

Jennifer’s curves and soft face convinced her that she would be fit to model for brands and so she started her modeling career until she started wanting something more. This doesn’t come as a surprise because most actresses started off modeling before their ultimate switch into acting. For Jennifer, acting was not even on her career priority list. Speaking with the press sometimes, she said, “I resisted it for a long time. I was in University, studying Communications, figuring I’ll just do something behind the scenes.” Jennifer resisted acting for a long because it was not the dream she envisioned but when she landed her first gig she couldn’t hit the snooze button.

3. She made her acting debut in 1996

Jennifer made her acting debut in a TV show named “My Hometown” in her native country Canada. This was the same year she finished school and decided to give up on her modeling career. In an attempt to bolster her chances of making it big on the screen she moved to the United States of America in the early 2000’s and landed a major role in the daytime soap “The Bold and the Beautiful” where she played the character of Bridget Forrester for four years.

This major career move including her change of location proved to be the best decision she made concerning her career as she went on to win three “Daytime Emmy” awards for ‘Outstanding Younger Actress,’ one each in the years 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Was she satisfied? No. Jennifer starred in some other movies and got more screen time as a result of the success of the soap “The Bold and the Beautiful” recorded. Jennifer played Dr. Devan Maguire on 10 episodes of Crossing Jordan in the same year. She then played the character Marni Fliss on the NBC series “Committed” which received low ratings and was eventually canceled.

4. Jennifer Finnigan is fluent in French

The duo got engaged in 2004 and stayed committed to each until they tied the knots at the island of Mykonos in Greece. Their love transcends more than the home front as Jennifer dreamt of having her husband in the same movie with her and it happened. Wishes really come through.
