The first time Jay appeared on Screen was in 1999. Although this was the same year he first featured in the American daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives”, he had previously appeared as Brendon in another American television soap opera “The Young and the Restless”. A series, which first aired in 1973, before Jay was even born, and presently running with over 12,000 episodes.

Although Jay only appears in one episode it still counts as his first appearance on Television.

Before Jay joined the American soap opera, “Days of our Lives”, on the NBC network, the character Philip Kiriakis was played by Brandon Tyler. Jay played the role of Philip Kiriakis from 1999 till 2002, his character was then taken over and played by Kyle Brandt from May 2003 until October 2006.

Jay was recast for the role in January 2007 which he played until April 2011. John Pual Lavoisier picked it up in 2015 but was dropped the following year. Jay was called back to repeat the role on the last blast reunion series before he returned to the original series in August last year.

The first time Jay left the show, it was uncertain why he didn’t continue but rumor had it that his contract broke down and they were unable to come to an agreement. In 2016 the character, Philip Kiriakis, was absent from several scenes after he betrayed his father and ran out of town. From a sentimental point of view, it is arguable to say that the fans had more connection with him than the other actors hence, the reason why he is still in the show or should I say steal-ing the show?

Jay and Henning started dating that same year, unfortunately to their fans, it only lasted for five years. They finally separated in 2012 and Jay is said to have not been in a relationship since then. What did you do to him, Henning?
