Ida Engvoll is not a child actor she has developed quite a reputation in the entertainment industry over the years. Born and raised in Sweden as Ida Emelin Engvoll. She attended Wendelsberg’s Folk High School, which is said to be the oldest in Sweden. After high school, she attended the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting (NAMA) in Stockholm.

There is no public record of her parents or if she’s the only child. She has no photos of her family members on her social media platform and she doesn’t talk about them in her interviews. From 2007 to 2010 Ida attended the Theater Academy in Stockholm to strengthen her acting, she was later employed in the theater after she graduated. In Stockholm City Theater Ida performed commendable roles in “Ibsen”, “Purge” and “Peter Pan and Wendy”.

 Her Career.

Ida Engvoll is an actress and producer popularly known for her roles in the Oscar Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film “A Man Called Ove”. The film was written and directed by Hannes Holm, and is based on author Fredrik Backman’s 2012 book of the same name. In an addition to being an Oscar-nominated film, it was nominated for six other awards, winning two, at the 51st Guldbagge Awards in 2016. It was also nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Makeup and Hairstyling categories at the 89th Academy Awards.

She starred as the lead character in season one of “Rebecka Martinsson” (2017), Netflix’s Swedish language series “Love and Anarchy”  (2020),  and “White Trash”  (2021).

In 2009, while still studying at Stockholm Theatre, Ida made her debut in the role of Maria Fors in one episode of “Beck – Levande begravd”  TV Series. Other appearances include “Nobody owns me” in 2013, “Crimes if Passions” in 2013, “medicinen” in 2014, ” The Bridge” in 2015, ” Vår tid är nu” in 2018, and many more.

The star recently took on the role of Kim in “White Trash’ (2021). Ida is also getting ready as her fans are anticipating her appearance as “Fredrika” in director Annika Appelin’s film “Tisdagsklubben” in 2022.

Ida has appeared in more than 26 different shows including Tv shows, films, and shoe videos since 2009 till date in her home country and the United States.
