The show is inspired by the work of Paul Ekman, the world’s foremost expert on facial expressions and a professor emeritus of psychology at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. Hayley played the role of Cal Lightman’s teenage daughter, Emily who easily gets into trouble with her fake IDs plus the trust issues she has with her father. The series received positive reviews mostly from film critics.

Hayley also played the role of Katie Owen in an episode of “Criminal Minds”.  In 2013, she joined the cast of “Sons of Anarchy”. The storyline follows the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California’s Central Valley. This series explored vigilantism, government corruption, and racism, and depicted an outlaw motorcycle club as an analogy for human transformation.
