For Erica Peeples, acting has become something that comes with ease. Her ability to score her script in one take or stir up emotions without having to say a word is a few of her many acting prowess. Well of course she didn’t just come by this all of a sudden, Erica has been acting since she was a child. Erica discovered her talent at a very early age, which led to her joining the adult theatre group called Mosaic.

Erica is popularly known for playing Gena Rollins in the drama trilogy “True to the Game” directed by Preston Whitmore II. Here are more facts about Erica Peeples.

Erica lost her Sister when she was Little

Erica Peeples was born and raised in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, by her parents. Her father, Richard Peeples, and her mother, Andera Peebles, who Erica has described as a mentor and orator. Erica had four siblings but her older sister died years back as a result of her relationship with a drug dealer. Erica is left with three siblings, two brothers, and a sister. One of her brothers, Anton Peeples, is also an actor.

It is worth noting that the actress, Nia Peeples, is not related to this family. Erica is a graduate of Mount Clemens High School, Michigan, she got her degree from The Juilliard School, a private performing arts conservatory in New Your City. Erica is the first in her town to attend this school.

Erica was born in 1984, she celebrated her 37th birthday on the 22nd of May 2021.

From Off-broadway to Hollywood

After she graduated from acting school, Erica featured in several off-broadway productions before she finally moved to Hollywood. Some of her early features include “Come and Gone”, “A Raisin in the Sun”, and “Piano Lessons“.

Erica is not just an actor, she often refers to herself as a poet, producer, and children’s acting coach. Before the light of fame shone on her through the first franchise of “True to the Game” in 2017, her official debut in Hollywood was in 2007 as Samantha Joosten in “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”. Other prominent features include Lexy in “Fall Girls” 2019, Mrs. Burnett in “Gully” 2019, Gena in “True to the Game 2” 2020, Mo “All Americans” 2020-2021, and “True to the Game 3” 2021.

In 2018, Erica was honored for her talents as one of the 40 Under 40 by The Michigan Chronicle. Erica was also a beneficiary of the NVIFF Award in 2019.
