David Gallagher: Age and early life
David Gallagher was born on February 9, 1985, in College Point, New York to Elena and Darren James Gallagher. His father is Irish while his mother is Cuban. When he was still a baby, his parents went through a terrible divorce and the court granted Elena (his mother) his custody.
Elena later remarried to a man named Vincent Casey. From his mother’s second marriage, he has half-siblings Michelle, Kelly, Kyle, and Killian. When he was two years of age, his mother started sending out his cute pictures to modeling agencies and praying to the heavens for a callback. And so it happened, David landed his first modeling contract at the age of 2, appearing in many commercials for products which include Fisher-Price, Tyson Foods, Walt Disney, Panasonic, and Burger King.
He graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory School and moved to the University of Southern California’ where he majored in film and TV studies.

David Callagher made his acting debut at the age of 8 when he appeared in the romantic comedy film “Look Who’s Talking Now” as Mikey Ubriacco. The film was not a box office magnet and it also generated negative reviews.
In 1995, he showed up in the CBS television film “It Was Him or Us” as Stevie Pomeroy. He continued to show his readiness in any small role he was assigned until he landed his big break in the television drama series “7th Heaven” as Simon Camden on The WB Network. The tells story of the Reverend Eric Camden, a Protestant minister living in the fictional town of Glenoak, California with his wife Annie and their seven children who were all given biblical names except their daughter Lucy.
The series received positive reviews with the Parents Television Council placing it 7th among the top ten most family-friendly shows for its portrayal of the clergy in a positive light. The series won David Gallagher a TV Choice Actor award in Drama and Action Adventure.
