And the 1980s proved to be the most important decade of her career.

She played the roles of Pam Davidson/Hinkley in the drama “The Greatest American Hero” the superhero series on ABC between 1981 and 1983. Of the 45 episodes in the three seasons that was the drama, Sellecca played her part in 41 episodes. After “The Greatest American Hero”, she entered the “Hotel” main cast. The “Hotel” aired on ABC from 1983 to 1988, which was set around the fictitious St. Gregory Hotel in San Fransisco. Connie Sellecca played the role of the assistant manager who became romantically with the general manager played by James Brolin. The series went on for five seasons in which Sellecca played a part in every one of the 114 episodes.
