Chris Jai Alex- Age, Upbringing and Education

Chris Jai Alex was born on the 16th day of February 1982 in Lansing, Michigan, the United States of America. Chris Jai Alex is a black American and is believed to have roots somewhere in Africa but that fact isn’t yet estimated. He is of American nationality. He was born into a family in love with music and this influenced his first choice of a career in his latter days. Chris’ mother, Gloria Sanford, was an aspiring music artiste even before he was born. She wasn’t able to pull off the fame and success any upcoming artiste would want to bar local fame after so many years and she decided to quit and maybe realize those dreams through her sons.

Growing up, Chris Jai Alex had a passion for creativity and learned how to play the piano, guitar and also learned the midi music production.

After high school, he decided to move to New York to get more knowledge on music production and probably make a career out of it. He enrolled under the teachings of the head director of membership for ASCAP and road manager for Def Jam Recordings artiste CASE. This move for him wasn’t a promising one for him as it didn’t work and he had to return to Michigan where the next phase of his life was to start.


After he came back to Michigan after his move to New York didn’t work out the way he envisioned, he and his brother, Seyque opened the indie record label called Phineqx Entertainment (PE).

With this record label, he was living his dreams of being a music producer. The record label, Phineqx Entertainment, is still the most successful record label in the history of his hometown, Lansing, Michigan to this very day.

Their first release was titled ‘PE 2003’ and went on to sell over 4000 copies. After subsequent tape releases and having sold over 47,000 copies, Chris Jai Alex and other crews of the Phineqx record label decided to move to Los Angeles, California where they continued actively in musical productions.

In 2003, he saw the movie, X2: X – Men United and was inspired to make it big in the movie industry. He enrolled at LA Valley College where he began studying martial arts. From there he was introduced to martial arts acting and stunts. He was opportune to train with world-class athletes one of them being Wayne Daglish, a filmmaker. He also made friends with a top Hollywood stuntman and started training at the world-renowned 871q under Chad Stahelmshi whose group was well known for their works in The Matrix series, 300, V for Vendetta, and many other Hollywood blockbusters.

After his training, he signed up with Osbrink Agency for voice-over acting. Since then he has been voicing many video games and animations. He always perfects his craft with every opportunity he has and is currently learning three other languages simultaneously so as to create more opportunities for his voice-over career.


Chris Jai Alex has no known relationship at the moment. He is one of the numerous actors and actresses who would rather keep their personal life secret if there is any. But at the moment, Chris Jai is not married or dating anyone. This is quite surprising for a young star who is making a name for himself on set.
