The former Strasburg Quarterback is not much of a vocal person on the pitch, but he is a good offensive leader. He is swift, has great footwork, and has amazing arm strength and accuracy for a skinny player. Proves that muscular arms don’t necessarily equal arm strength. Chase Hart’s skills are one you have to behold rather than read about.

Strasburg head coach Mark Roller said Chase is yet to reach his peak and believes he will get better in his new team. Chase Hart presently plays for the Tribe as a number 17 pro-style quarterback. Here is everything we know about the collegiate freshman.

Chase Hart the Strasburg Star

Chase Hart was born in Strasburg Virginia to Caleb and Rebecca Hart. He attended Strasburg High School where he played for the Rams. Chase was a three-year starter and helped Strasburg advance to the Region 2B semifinals in his senior year. He played Junior Varsity Football at Sheradon High School and Boys Varsity Football for Strasburg and Sherando high school.

Some of the few highlights of his career include the three-year letter winner as a quarterback, he finished his prep career with a 4100 school record in passing yards, 47 passing touchdowns, and posted 60 total touchdowns. Chase was an All-Region selection as a junior, Two-time all-area, and all-district selection.

The young athlete was also into baseball and wrestling. He was an All-area, all-district, and all-region selection in baseball. He also earned three letters in baseball and one in wrestling, with a region and district champion wrestler title as a sophomore.

In the history of Strasburg, Chase is the first Strasburg football player to play at the Division 1 level since tight end Jonathan Kloosterman played at JMU from 2014-17. This was a dream come true for the quarterback player, Chase Hart.

Chase’s Running With the Tribe of William and Mary

In June 2019, Chase verbally committed to play college football at Williams and Mary college. Although he got another offer from Central Connecticut State University, Chase was not interested in running with the ball for a school that was far away from his hometown.

William & Mary plays in the Football Championship Subdivision in the Colonial Athletic Association. Division level 1. That summer Hart celebrated his signing with his high school team at Strasburg H.S.

Chase admitted that without a football scholarship, there was no way he could have made it to a school like William and Mary. He really worked hard for this scholarship and his hard work has been rewarded. Chase said, “Sky’s the limit really with a degree from William & Mary.”

On moving to Williamsburg after high school, the new quarterback number 17 hasn’t had enough playtime. As a freshman, his highlight so far includes a distinction on the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll and a six-yard pass attempt in the opening season against Virginia.

The freshman is very hopeful for more opportunities to perform. He said, “Academics and football are both very important to me and I am currently working hard to achieve my goals both academically and athletically.”

According to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the average size of a college quarterback player is 6 foot 2 inches tall (1.88m) and weighs 208 lbs (94kg).

Chase Hart towers at exactly 6 foot 2 inches and weighs approximately 214 lbs (97kg).
