That was a whole new experience for the young lady. The play was about mythology and it bordered on making a change, causing transformation and the likes. Right there and then, she saw life in Technicolor and made up her mind that she will be an actress and she went home to drop the news to her family members. Her dream of pursuing a career in the sciences was pushed aside, and acting became paramount.

After she graduated from the University of Illinois, she went further to Steppenwolf to boost her career. Ashleigh came to the limelight for her role in “The Handmaid’s Tale” (2019) a movie that was adapted from a book. She played the character of Natalie. For her, it was a dream come true because she has read the book while growing up, over and again. When she got wind that there will be a remake and the audition was ongoing, she knew she has to be part of the casts. She did her audition and scaled through to be given a part. In 2015, she was nominated for her part in a play for “Balm in Gilead” at the Griffin Theater Company, in Chicago.
Other works she has done are; The Rookie(2018), Commune(2019), Fifty Shades Freed(2018), just to mention a few.
