Ann Serrano Lopez is an American actress and also a producer, known for her roles in “Arrested Development”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, and who used to be married to famous actor and producer George Lopez.

Ann Serrano’s heritage and career

Ann Serrano was born on December 18, 1960, in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. She was born to Cuban immigrants, Julio Robert and Norda Rozan Serrano both of whom worked in the medical profession. She has two siblings, Norda Winkler (sister) and brother Robert Serrano.

Ann made her acting debut in 2003 when she portrayed Anna in the episode “Food for Thought” of the comedy series “Life with Bonnie” an ABC television sitcom that originally aired for 2 seasons.

A few years after making her debut Ann Serrano did not get any acting role up until 2009 when she portrayed Norm’s Daughter in the episode “The Black Swan” of the comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, created by Larry David, starring alongside Cheryl Hines and Jeff Garlin.

Another credit to her name was when Ann cast in the 2013 episode “Smashed” of the comedy series “Arrested Development” an American television sitcom created by Mitchell Hurwitz, which originally aired on Fox for three seasons from 2003 to 2006, followed by a two-season revival on Netflix from 2013 to 2019.

Apart from acting Ann Serrano has been credited for her role in writing and producing some films such as “A Kiss Is Just a Kiss” of the comedy-drama series “George Lopez” which she was credited for writing the episode back in 2003.
The following year saw her producing debut with the episode “Naughty or Nice” of the adventure comedy series “The Wonderful World of Disney”.

She also has producer credits for “Kiki Melendez’ Hot Tamales Live” a 2012 TV special, “Autumn” a short romantic film back in 2018 and the documentary movie “Carlos Almaraz: Playing with Fire” in 2019.

Ann Serrano was once married to George Lopez. George Lopez born April 23, 1961, is a comedian and actor, known for starring in his self-produced ABC sitcom of the name “George Lopez” which examines race and ethnic relations, including Mexican American culture.

Ann Serrano and George Lopez met back in 1989 when he was performing at a comedy club and after fees of dating, they exchanged their marriage vows on 18 September 1993 and on 2 April 1996, Ann gave birth to their only child Mayan Lopez.

After close to two decades the couple decide to call time on their marriage which was a thing of a shock to their fans after Ann Serrano donated her kidney to George Lopez back in 2005 after it was found that George Lopez needed a kidney transplant.

Ann filed for divorce in 2010 and it took nearly half a year to finalize the divorce.
