Alex Sgambati (the good people at IMDb says her surname is pronounced “Sgum-bah-tee”) was born in December 1990 in Schenectady, New York, USA. Her mother whose name we do not know is a Greek who was born in Brussels, Belgium, and her father whose name, too, we do not know is special for being one out of 15 children born to his father.

When Alex was born, she was one of over 40 grandchildren of her famed (some would say fertile) grandfather.

Alex Sgambati has Greek, Italian, and French heritage. She is the granddaughter of the grandson of the famous Italian composer Giovanni Sgambati. 

Knowing about her talent early on, she was rained with the famed Shakespearean troupe in the US, Shakespeare & Company. She also underwent acting courses at Tisch at NYU, Chapman University, and Pepperdine University, etc.
